on fate, destiny, and the threads that are ours to tend

A worship service at South Nassau Unitarian Universalist Congregation (SNUUC)

October 4, 2026 · 10:30 am ET

In a season built for slowing down, our world keeps accelerating — climate, elections, AI, and our own private griefs, all tangled together. Drawing on a poem born of her own exhaustion, the myth of Sisyphus, and a Cherokee story of Grandmother Spider bringing fire, Rev. Sushmita asks what it means to stand in that crack: not fixing the whole tangle, and not walking away from it, but tending the threads — the one bottle — that are ours to carry.
